Lional is a marine adviser at International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) specializing in marine cargo carriage. Lional has been contributing to regulatory developments at IMO since 2022 in matters including carriage of charcoal in containers, ammonium nitrate as general cargo and various other amendments to IMDG and IMSBC codes.   He is currently involved in matters related to carriage of vehicles (ICEV & BEV). Being an ex-seafarer, Lional carries operational expertise in container shipping handling ships up to 24000 TEUs. Post his sea career Lional graduated with an M.Sc in Shipping, trade & finance from Cass Business School-London and started his career ashore. Lional is also a Fellow of Institute of Chartered Ship Brokers (FICS).
