David is a Senior Underwriter within the Marine Cargo team at Markel International. He has over 10 years’ experience in the insurance industry and has been underwriting Marine Cargo since 2016. David’s career started at MS Amlin and then more recently Aegis London. David joined Markel International in 2024.

Markel International has been a leader in the Marine War space globally for many years, assisting insureds across geographies in a complex geopolitical environment. David forms part of the team responsible for leading Cargo War placements in the London market and liaising with our key broking partners to ensure we remain a viable option for our client base.
