Started his insurance career on the broking side in 2014 for FP Marine Risks Ltd as a Trainee Account Handler. FP Marine Risks Ltd was acquired by RK Harrison Specialty in 2015 and Alex was promoted to Account Handler, assisting the senior group that moved across. RK Harrison Specialty was then acquired by Howden Group and over the next four years, Alex was promoted to Account Executive and Senior Account Executive respectively, handling and placing complex and layered programmes from North America, Middle East and the Far East. In 2020, Alex joined Brit Syndicate as Cargo Underwriter, joining an underwriting team of four with a North American focused portfolio. In 2022, Alex joined Ascot Syndicate 1414, continuing his role as a Cargo Underwriter but in a senior capacity, managing and growing an established and diverse Cargo and Stock Throughput book, with a key focus on Cargo War.
