Helen is Head of Cargo at AXIS. She began her career in cargo insurance in 1997 as a graduate trainee in Marine Cargo on the Italian book with Willis Faber & Dumas. After 10 years on the broking side, she switched to underwriting in 2007 with Mitsui Syndicate. In 2016, she was appointed Head of Cargo at Novae (acquired by AXIS in 2017). At AXIS, Helen underwrites across the whole of the broad cargo portfolio and her areas of specialty include project cargo and satellite and pre-launch risks.
